Amerks' Race For Charity Takes Off

Mark Mancari and Marty Lojek at Race For Charity 11-17-2007With the only game for this weekend done (5-4 win over the Rockford IceHogs last night), the Rochester Americans’ night off was spent at the Inside Track Speedway tonight.  All the Amerks were there and ready to race tonight.

At the event, you could race a player of your choice and children could tag along in a car.  The players also were around playing Bubble Hockey and Air Hockey with fans.

There was a silent auction held with signed memorabilia from the Rochester Americans, Toronto Marlies, Lowell Devils, Hamilton Bulldogs and Chicago Wolves.

This event was a great chance for fans to mingle with the players and have a nice night out with their family.

The event also raised $843 for AIDS Rochester!

Now the Rochester Americans must gear up for another tough week with three games in three nights once again starting on Wednesday.

Come see the Amerks take on the Manitoba Moose in a great divisional game on Wednesday at Blue Cross Arena.  The game begins at 7:05 p.m. and will be broadcast live on Hot Talk 1280 WHTK, whtk.com and B2 networks.

On Thanksgiving, the Amerks will be taking the trip to Binghamton to take on the Senators.  The game begins at 6:05 p.m.

The next night, the team is home once again for a heated match against the Lake Erie Monsters.  This will be the first time the Amerks have ever played this brand new divisional team.  The game starts at 7:35 p.m.
