From 13WHAM:Â Changes at the top may be on the way for more Rochester sports teams.Â
13WHAM News has learned that the Amerks and Knighthawks will soon reach a deal with a new major investor
Sources tell 13WHAM News that the deal may be finalized by the middle of next week.
The name of the new investor has still not been revealed, but he is from Canada and will have a major stake in both teams. It is possible he may become the majority owner.
The new investor would replace Steve Donner’s current co-investors Walter Turek and Randy Latona. Â
Current owner and CEO Steve Donner would remain in charge of day-to-day operations.
Sources also tell 13WHAM News that the new owner is scheduled to meet with Knighthawks staff and players on Friday.
