Three roster moves today between the Buffalo Sabres and Rochester Americans, all of which can be beneficial which is a surprising change of pace.
TJ Brennan was cleared to play after recovering from vertebrae issues. Â Initial reports were that he had a second concussion but reports since have indicated the second injury was related to his vertebrae. Â He last played for the Sabres on January 19 against the Jets. Â The last time he played in an Amerks uniform was January 14th.
Zack Kassian has been called up to the Sabres and in a swap the Sabres sent Luke Adam to the Amerks. Â What’s this reasoning behind this move? Â I’m not going to recreate the wheel, Kevin Oklobzija does a great job explaining here.
Luke Adam was the 2010/2011 American Hockey League Rookie of the Year when he played in 57 games and scored 29 goals and also had 33 assists. Â Since the Sabres bought the Amerks one position that the team has had a need for was a top center and Adam could be that player. Â How long will Luke Adam be here?
