Taylor Fedun Called up to the Sabres

The first month of the hockey season isn’t close to being over and there’s already a list of injuries and transactions. Defenseman Taylor Fedun was called up by the Buffalo Sabres today and to make room for him on the roster they placed center Jacob Josefson on injured reserve.

In three games with the Amerks Fedun has one assist, a team leading minus 4 and is fourth on the team with seven shots.

This move explains yesterdays news of the Amerks signing defenseman Stuart Percy to a PTO.

The Sabres blue line is dealing with Josh Gorges who is day to day with a lower body injury, Zack Bogosian also lower body and Justin Falk who are both week to week. On the Amerks side, Nathan Paetsch is week to week.

Amerks are home tonight vs Charlotte Checkers and Saturday night vs Utica Comets. Sabres are home vs Vancouver Canucks.
