Re: Nashville signs Blackwell to a 2yr contract, Amerks sign Dalton Smith

The Sabres have 48 NHL contracts and are only allowed 50. They didn't want to waste a NHL contract on him and only offered him an AHL deal. He wanted a 2-way deal.

Re: Nashville signs Blackwell to a 2yr contract, Amerks sign Dalton Smith

“Sabres Twitter”. The clueless morons that think Nylander is on the cusp of being a 20 goal 70 point Sabre. Fact is, we’ll be stuck with a worse offense this year because euro guys will need to adjust. They’re mostly younger rookies. To expect them to do anything until mid season is insane. Maybe s...

Re: NHL Free Agency

Shows just how far apart the two organizations are. One is coming off a great regular season, a playoff appearance, a Calder Cup championship, and landing the biggest free agent in the sport. The other is.... happy to have rid themselves of an albatross contract, signed a backup goalie, and....? Go...

Re: NHL Draft Thread

Our goal tending was "off". So what do they do? They re-sign one of the total underachievers and slate the other playoff failure as having a job on Team Sweden. This is a totally dysfunctional organization. I thought Botts would be better than this but it seems he's fitting in quite nicely with the...

Re: Paetsch Coming Back

They HAVE to sign a vet goalie here. Someone goes down in Buffalo (which is a given), they need a vet to call up. And who knows who's in Buffalo this year...

Ullmark, but don't think he's a starter. Johnson is UFA, and who knows what will happen with Lehner.

Re: Trotz Not Returning to Caps

My guess would be he will be coaching the NY Islanders Hey Ted, I told you Trotz was going to the Islanders. Sources say Barry Trotz and the New York Islanders are closing in on an agreement for Trotz to be the Isles next head coach. Since that was probably the only sure opening....you had a lot of...

Re: Redmond back for 2 more

Awesome news! Redmond for two years. Porter has a year left and if things go well I imagine he'd stick around longer. Fedun will be here. Solid leadership. Just need some scoring and a goalie. Never a fan of Fedun. Didn't look good last year. Plus Mr. -(minus) Tennyson is back. It's a good thing Re...
