Matt Donovan scored his 5th goal in 9 games, as well as 5 assists for Milwaukee. His was the GW in OT versus Cleveland tonight.

But when does Blackwell return from injury? Probably not anytime soon. :(

He played on Friday for his second game of the season. He had "an upper body injury". He has been taking the key face offs on Friday and Saturday.

The Preds board on HF said that Matt Donovan is on waivers to sign an NHL contract. I assume that it is with Nashville. They need a better 3rd pair!

He has 6 G and 6 A in 13 games and leads the team in scoring because Grimaldi has 11 points in 8 games before he was called up to the Preds.

Got to see a couple of familiar faces last weekend in Des Moines. Cal O'Reilly's Wild hit Nick Baptiste's Admirals pretty hard. Des Moines seems to have a pretty good team this year. They didn't seem to tire at all through the third period. Iowa's goalie, Kahkonen was impressive. I noticed he was called up and sitting on the bench in Minnesota vs Winnipeg on Friday afternoon.

Side note: I've heard rumors that the Wild brass isn't happy playing in an NHL sized arena (Despite good crowds) and is thinking of moving the team to Coralville once the new arena is completed (5,100 seats vs 15,181). Seems a bit crazy to me. MUCH smaller market and it really doesn't make sense to me (I think an ECHL team would be great - Cedar Rapids has supposedly vetoed a Junior team moving within their territory).

Milwaukee called up Matthew Lane from from Atlanta Gladiators to play last night. His #21 wasn't on the game sheet that they hand out. He has played a few other games for Milwaukee this season. Apparently, the Admirals are also short on players due to the Nashville injuries.

BTW, I have no idea of what happened with Colin Blackwell. I haven't seen him for a long time.

Blackwell returned Saturday night after missing 17 games. He scored both Admirals goals on Wednesday and one of the two in Manitoba tonight, making 3 of the last 4 Milwaukee goals.

Colin Blackwell was called up to Nashville to replace Johanson, who was suspended for 2 games.
