I know... But I applaud the Marlies for this, as it will hopefully gain them long-term fans via school children getting the day off to see a hockey game.

Wonder how this would fly in Rochester? It would probably bring a crowd element that will frustrate some old timers, but this is a great avenue to try to market this team to young people.

The Amerks have asked the City School District about doing this, they said no thanks.

Not sure there's a way to switch broadcasting different things to the two stations, they're completely likely linked together.

They didn't hire him back, they just let him do it because he's already there. The less money they can spend the better.
