It has to start somewhere. It would be one thing if we were talking about a massive renovation in 2 years, but some wiring and new toilets isn't going to cut it any more.

And now there's a new addition proposed for the Exchange St side.

An update on this announcement from 2018 to be completed in 2020 - the city is finalizing designs & estimates for new arena bowl speakers, new bathrooms, and a new locker room for the lacrosse team/visiting hockey teams.

If it wasn't a Memorial for Vets I wouldn't care less about the place. It's such a dump though with these band aids. The Amerks and Rochester deserves better, but with Terry and Kimmy calling the shots it will all turn to $hi* like everything else they touch.
They spent their own dough to get here, and they came here to see us! All right, let's show 'em what we got, guys! Get out there on the ice and let 'em know you're there.

Don't know why they are waiting another year to fix some of this stuff, but I am looking forward to the audio upgrades whenever they come. Certainly can't be worse than what we have now. More space for dining on the Exchange Street side will be nice, but I don't think it's that big enough to really make a difference. Hope I'm wrong about that though.

The things the place really needs 'for the patrons' who go there aren't really being addressed....the main one being the seating bowl. And watch out...now that Pegulas are in the business of pricing events out, who knows what our ticket prices will look like going forward.
It will be interesting to see what they do with the sound system. And if it is 'fixed' or 'improved', will the Amerks still blast the music loud as ever?

Yea, would think the speakers could've been upgraded this summer. Only thing I can think of is that it's city government and it takes them two years to do everything.
