Amerks at Binghamton 12/1

Post by keithLGA » Sat Dec 01, 2018 1:56 pm

Amerks can extend their win streak to three games tonight and appear as if they're getting back on track with things. We'll find out who starts but after the game last night have to think they hand the net to Wedgewood and get him going.

They're finding ways to win but still struggling. They've only scored once in a first period over the last five games. The power play has only scored goals in two of the last 11 games. A lot of stats raise questions but they remain in first place. Have to win tonight, can't give up any division points.

Recap of the last 5 games and where they're at as a team:

That's product of Chris Taylor....He sucked at it as an assistant and now it's coming back full circle as a head coach.

Props to the team for doing better this season as opposed to past seasons. With any luck both teams will make the playoffs and would be cool to see both teams win the cup in the same season....

Last nights win was hardly a confidence builder...except in net. The team as whole was not good. I guess that can be argued, but from what I saw, it was pretty painful to watch all the missed passes and lack of puck control...and the penalties.

We have no room for error. Syracuse is a machine and hasn't lost in regulation in over a month. They will catch us if we don't continue to keep pace with them. I have no answer really for why the PP went away. Same guys who were lighting it up in October (except for Pilut being missing now recently)
Also have no answer for why these guys can't keep the puck in the rink.

Seems wrong to be complaining about a 13-5-2 team....but they have a lot of flaws. And plenty of time to fix them. Gotta win tonite. Can't lose to division teams below us.

Yeah this is starting to remind me of last year.

We’re lacking a #1 center.

Botterill should stay because he’s done a great job with Buffalo, but I’m almost done with Sexton.

Just disgusting. Sexton needs to be held accountable for not making some moves. He's just disappeared.

Amerks lethargic play a result of how much they missed Matt Tennyson!
