Monsters in Town 2/20

Sounds like we will be welcoming back a major cog in our wheel tonite, if #22 is out there on the ice again.
Amerks coming off two very nice wins last weekend appear to have a little spark that had been missing for awhile. I don't know exactly why I have such positive feelings about tonite and perhaps the rest of the season (barring a total pick-apart by the Sabres)...but the composition of this team at the moment might be real decent.

Granted, we don't have many natural scorers, but we have some grit that has been missing for many years. And while not the fastest team in the league, we do have some speed. We have often had maybe one 'tough guy' in the lineup, but now we have several that can take care of themselves. Besides Dalton, we have a re-energized Veilleux and newcomer Leier for example. Having Oglevie back is helpful. The PK has been awesome....a real surprise for sure.

If we can get some scoring again from O'Regan and some consistency from Olofsson...coupled with the goals we are getting from Simpson...things could get to be real fun. Sabres might also do everyone a favor by dumping Nylander.

Here's hoping!

Hopefully that new line will continue to develop and make a positive impact.
