They should see what comes available after the playoffs. Sheldon Keefe is a guy I would interview. He coached circles around Taylor. I assume Taylor gets an interview by default. But I would not hire him. He needs to get it together down here or be fired.

Two sweeps in the playoffs, 0-6. Should be fired now.

I don't think he even should get a default interview. Why should he? What has he done to get a team that is as unproductive in post season (like they never make it) as the Amerks.

If Buffalo wanted Taylor he would've been hired by now. Same with Martin. I think they're waiting for Keefe, Nelson, Martin, Lambert and or Gronborg. So that's good news for Sabres fans.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like Taylor is going to be fired from Rochester.

True--Sabres measure their success by regular season. Playoffs don't count. for them, if a team even makes it, thats a bonus. They talked a huge show this year about a 'long playoff run' and they almost had some of us believing that this was going to be the year. But clearly the coaching staff didn't have the guys prepared and the Sabres tinkering with the roster down the stretch didn't help.
Remember Amerks ended up losing 5 of their last 6 games played. And their go-to guys didn't show up. While Wedgewood wasn't as bad as Ullmark, he was majorly outplayed by a guy who was at best mediore during the season.

We are seeing a lot of teams that didn't place high in the standings really step forward in post season. Cleveland and Toronto (4th and 3rd) easily ousted Rochester and syracuse (2nd and 1st)
In the NHL Carolina is on the march...Columbus looks tough..Colorado is surprising a lot of experts. Dallas has not rolled over to the more highly favored Blues.
