When I think of today's hockey players and this year's Sabres I think of a Joe McGrath quote from Slapshot. "Not this! Buncha... Pussies."

And that's where we need to hope that the Sabres keep tanking and don't make the playoffs. I don't think it's realistic to expect moves to improve our team if the Sabres are also in the hunt.

I want to proactively highlight this so we don't seem mean spirited down the stretch. Its not usually good for the AHL team when the NHL team makes the playoffs (See: '83, '87, '96 Cup teams).

See the Binghamton Senators last season as well.. be interesting to look at Calder Cup champs vs the success of the NHL team and how it impacted the lineup.
