They spent their own dough to get here, and they came here to see us! All right, let's show 'em what we got, guys! Get out there on the ice and let 'em know you're there.

Peoria lost Ben Bishop in a trade, so the Blues went out and got them a AHL All Star goalie from last season.

The San Jose Sharks have reassigned goaltender Alex Stalock from the Worcester Sharks to the Peoria Rivermen, it was announced on Saturday.

Returning from a year-long injury absence, Stalock posted a 1-1-0 record with a 2.51 GAA and a .909 save percentage in two games with Worcester this season.

Statement from Worcester Sharks general manager Wayne Thomas:

“Alex will have the opportunity to be part of a two-goaltender system in Peoria which will allow him to play in more games for the rest of this season. He remains an important part of our future and the entire Sharks organization is excited to see Alex get this opportunity to play. Our development staff will continue to support Alex with his comeback and follow his progress closely in Peoria.”

The 24-year-old native of South St. Paul, Minn., was Worcester's team MVP in 2009-10, when he set an AHL rookie record with 39 wins. He has compiled a 59-37-6 all-time record in the AHL, and earned the win in his only NHL appearance with San Jose.

A great article again by Kevin O. He tells it like it is.

Privately owned AHL teams like the Hershey Bears and Chicago Wolves are always active as the clear-day freeze approaches.

I really like the line above. That says it all. That why these 2 teams are always competitive for the Cup when playoff time comes. But Darcy again does nothing, but "we tried." What a joke.

Its time for Toronto to get into the post season dance, plus it would hopefully force Pegula to rethink his high command. (it would also weaken the Marlies....sounds like win-win to this guy!)

Yeah, we NEED the Leafs to stay in this thing as long as they can.
