Marlies Capitalize on Amerks Bad Defensive Game to Win

March 29, 2010 - By

The Rochester Americans had a chance to clinch a spot in the playoffs on Sunday afternoon if they defeated the Toronto Marlies and the Lake Erie Monsters lost in regulation to the San Antonio Rampage.  Former Rochester American forward Stefan Meyer and the Rampage did their part defeating the Monsters in the final 90 seconds but unfortunately the Amerks lost in a shootout, their first shootout loss of the season.

Mike Duco is Day to Day

October 26, 2009 - By

Mike Duco vs MonstersMike Duco is currently day to day with his shoulder injury.  He hurt his shoulder when Phil Oreskovic and Andre Deveaux of the Toronto Marlies hit him hard into the boards on October 17th in Toronto.

Amerks trainer Kent Weisbeck said that Duco is just waiting for his shoulder to not feel as sore so he can shoot a puck.

Duco has played in five games this season for the Amerks and through those five games was pretty much invisible.  Once the Duco is back on the ice that we saw last year he should fit in pretty well with the rest of this team.
